The Coolest Nerd I’ve Ever Met

Once a week or so I am going to share with you guys some different websites, tools, and more that I use in my daily business.

I DON’T MAKE A DIME FOR SHARING THIS INFORMATION.

I want to help you out and I know you would do the same for me.

Today I want to point you to a website:

The coolest nerd I've ever met

You can visit the site at http://mynotetakingnerd.com/blog/

This site was recommended to me by a friend a few years ago and I’ve been a fan and a customer ever since.

What is the site you ask?

Well let me tell you what it is for me:
1. It’s a time saver
2. It’s a money saver
3. It’s a knowledge database

Sounds cool right?

You see what the Nerd does is he buys all the big guru products. All the $2,000 courses, the $5,000 training and more. Then he spends hours upon hours going through the information time and time again. While he does that he takes notes and write down the big ideas that he gets from the various courses.

Isn’t that cool?

So for example a little while after Mass Control 2.0 came out I bought the Nerds Report on it. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest but I was blown away. It was page after page of concise and actionable content. No fluff, no filler, just hard hitting information.

Not only did I save time by not having to watch the videos but I also saved over $1900 by buying the report.

Here’s a little proof for you that I am a fan of the Nerd:

All Of My Nerd Reports

The reports are so good I actually have several of them printed out and bound at my local office depot. I actually put two reports in each binding to save me and you a little money.

You’ll notice that last report. It is one by Tony Robbins and Chet Holmes on business mastery. I bought it and have to say it is one of the best books on marketing and mindset that I have ever read. Seriously, I don’t recommend crap and I think it is worth every penny from the Nerd. Not to mention you save about $1900 buying the summary, not to mention the time you save as well.

The Nerd actually gives part of the report away free on the blog (you can read it here):

http://mynotetakingnerd.com/blog/strategies-learned-from-anthony-robbins-ultimate-business-mastery-program

So the next time you want to buy the next Guru product head over and see if the Nerd has it. While you’re there sign up for his mailing list and you get some cool reports – for free.

Hey wanted to show you something that I just found out a few minutes ago. I got one of the new kindles (actually it was sent to me by a loyal subscriber of the newsletter) and it reads PDFs (thank you Lord).

All I did was email my Kindle the PDFs and whamo now the Nerd is portable! Check out the photo.

That’s it. Let me know your thoughts below.

    Wow,

What can I say but Thank You kind sir.

You know we live in this Virtual World called the internet.

Yes some of us have 5,000 “Friends” on Facebook.

But truth be told we don’t know squat about 4,998 of them.

Every once in a while as I sit home in my long, baggy short sipping a Diet Soda I’ll make a true connection with someone in this Virtual World that seems to be a bit different.

A bit more substance and real.

Tim has been one of those few for me.

If you’re on his list you know what i’m talking about.

He cares, he doesn’t pull punches, and he is who he is.

He doesn’t pretend to be Donald Trump one week and Frank Kern the next.

That’s what makes me like this guy.

If I screw up he let’s me know. Hey…that’s what friends are for right.

I’m truly thankful for Tim inviting you guys over to my house.

I’ll be sending you guys some friends from over here very soon.

For those of you that come over to visit I hope you find something that
helps you move from where you are to where you want to be.

Also, be on the lookout for a “Tim and the Nerd” Webinar or something.

I’m going to be prodding him to let me get on the phone with you guys and give
you something Kick Ass just because I like Timbo and I want to help
    his friends.

And before I finish …don’t miss the big message in this post.

    It’s not about me.

It’s that when you find somebody or something that provides tremendous value
in your life then you want to give back.

So if Tim’s one of those guys for you then get out there on Facebook, Twitter, etc..
and let your friends know how lucky you are you found a guy like him.

    Peace

    In Success,

    Dexter

  2. Hey you,

    It’s #2.

Just had Dexter belly slam my door wide open *POW* to tell me that we were prominently featured here on your fantabulous site.

Can’t really distinguish whether it was this exciting news… or the remaining dribble from not draining the lizard long enough, that made me pee my pants a little. Aw, fuck it, I’m going with the “exciting news” excuse!!! It sounds cooler. I think.

There is one piece of bad news though.

For all of your lady fans that will rush to our site from here, then rush to Facebook to friend Dexter, they’re gonna be disappointed to find that the “Throw your panties” app has been disabled for our account.

The women of the world just plain overwhelmed us. At one point our gmail inbox subject lines read like this…

“Diana M. has thrown her panties at you”
“Helga Von Reimsler has thrown her panties at you”
“Betty Perkins has thrown her panties at you”
“Dexter, Your ‘XXX Latin Women Being Naughty in Uniform’ Video of The Month Is Ready…”
“Katarina Ramirez has thrown her panties at you”
“Copyblogger: 7 Headline Templates That Never Flop”
“Siuk Yu Kim has thrown her panties at you”
And on, and on and on.

Wading through this sea of notifications was clogging up our ability to find and address our client emails, so we put a stop to it. Now, women only get to throw their panties to us in person. :C

Tim, we’ve never spoke about this before but I’m sure you’ve experienced the same problem with your Facebook account. Sometimes in the name of productivity, you’ve got to put your foot down or else none of the awesome stuff you teach here about bringing home the bacon gets implemented, right?

Thank you for mentioning our site and sorry once again for the inconvenience to your lady fans.

  3. Nice! I like to save time and money… looks good to me!

Thanks for taking the time to tell us about it Tim.

  4. Hey Tim,

Thanks for the great info on this site!! I love it. Thanks for sharing!

    All my best,
    Drew

  5. David Enders says:

Hey Tim: Sounds great – once again you have provided fantastic information at little or no cost! It is much appreciated. David

  6. Reg says:

    Tim

Thanks for sharing this and others tools & resources that you’ve found helpful. I’m plugging into “the Nerd” as soon as I hit the Post Comment button which is right ……….

  7. Mark Wise says:

    Thank you Tim,

To me cliff notes are better because they cut through all the fluff and filler and get to the heart of what it is you really want to know about a subject. This sounds great! Mark

    • Dexter says:

      Mark,

      You’re exactly right.

As a matter of fact just a few weeks ago the Nerd Crew
went through a 24 hour Guru Course.

At the end we came up with 17 pages of notes.

      I was pissed.

Not at the Guru’s but because I thought the Nerd’s hadn’t done
      their job correctly.

I mean the course was 3 days long.

      What did I do?

I went back through the course myself.

Guess what…I got 19.5 pages of notes.

I of course had to appologize. to the Crew.

Bottom line there was just alot of filler in their.

Nice stories but not sure it was worth the additional 17hours
      of content.

      Hope you enjoy the site.

  8. Tim Castleman says:

Thanks David. I just want to share with you guys some very cool tools that can save you some serious money!

    Hope all is well.

  9. Dave Gammage says:

    Nice find Tim!

This is like Cliff’s Notes for internet marketing guru products. All it’s missing is the yellow “traffic warning” cover!

    Thanks for sharing this.

  10. Terri Bork says:

    Tim,

Thank so much for the tip of the day! I continue to learn and prosper from the knowledge you share….

    Invaluable

  11. A great find – thanks for sharing!

  12. Blase says:

    Nice!

If the offliners on your list are thinking
they could buy a report like “Formula 5″
learn the tips and tricks and then share them with
their offline suspects, prospects, and clients
to look like a super star marketer and build some know,
    like, and trust. :-)

Of course you would also apply what you learned to
    build your business.

    Great stuff Tim.

  13. Rachel Rofe says:

That looks kind of awesome! I know the product owners might not love it, but it’s definitely a cool service. I don’t see product buttons for all the reports you have, though! Does he discontinue them after a while?

    • Tim Castleman says:

      Rachel -

I bought them from here (not an affiliate link – again no money coming to me):

      http://www.mynotetakingnerd.com/GreatestOfferEver.html

It was a real no brainer for me. Yes I know it’s a little bit of money BUT considering what the courses go for separately I was sold.

His reports come out well after the gurus have made their money so I don’t think they’re too angry with him.

      Hope all is well.

      Tim

      • Hey Tim,

        #2 here.

I wanted to point something out to you really quick. It’s about you stressing the fact that you’re not making any kind of affiliate commish on any of the links you’ll be sharing with us here.

You mentioned this fact at the top of the post and then again when getting back to Rachel here so I can tell it’s kind of a top of mind thought for you. And of course, what I’m about to tell you is nothing but my opinion, and you’re always free to take it or leave it, but I trust you’ll see that what I’m bringing to your attention is in the interest of serving you and your friends here.

I believe I totally get where you’re coming from when you’re telling people you’re not getting paid. Maybe I don’t. But what I’m guessing is that you don’t want your peeps here to think you’re the hammer and that you’re trying to make a buck off of them at every possible opportunity because you’re ONLY about the dolla dolla bill Y’all!

        This is comforting.

It’s nice to see that your moral compass isn’t defunct and that you don’t just see your fans here as bank accounts waiting to be sucked dry. And, there’s another way for you to convey this same concern for your relationship with your fans… all while making some extra change in the process.

        Here it is…

One of the semi-heavy duty copywriters on the block, Ray Edwards, captured my attention in one of his products with a strategy he used. He was referring people to Aweber and what he did, that I felt was totally cool, was he gave you two links to buy from…

…One was a normal link that went directly to Aweber and the other…

… was his Aweber affiliate link that would pay him a commission on any sale that converted from it.

He was totally upfront about it and it made me feel all the more inclined to use his link instead of the other because he was so cool, so low pressure, so open about it. He called out the elephant in the room and let me decide instead of muscling me into it or trying to be slick and talk around it.

Here’s what you can try Tim…

If it was up to me, I’d waaaaaaaaay rather buy you a bottle of your favorite top shelf liquor than I would some stranger I’ve never met, never talked to, and don’t care about. If you and I are boys, I want to see you taken care of. I want your life to be better off. It makes me feel “first drink of day” good to do that for you.

Especially if you’re introducing me to something I’d a never found without you.

So in that light, I encourage you to let us have the choice of whether or not we want to line your pockets or not. Just try not deciding for me. I bet you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many of your friends here prefer that you get the commissions that keep your bar stocked with only the best of the best liquor available on the planet. :-)

        Talk soon,
        Note Taking Nerd #2

    • Dexter says:

      Hi Rachel,

I’ve been a fan for a bit here as Timbo turned me onto
      you about three weeks ago.

About to purchase some of those “Credits” you have so that
I no longer have to do some of the Grunt work.

Tim say’s you Rock and If he say’s so…who am i to argue.. LOL

Yeah, some Guru’s might get mad. I’ve spoke with many.

We have difference of opinions. But I’m on a mission here.

Maybe I’ll see you around at one of these “Guru” conferences
      someday.

If so I’ll try and muster of the courage to come say hi.

I’m a bit bashful with the ladies.

Especially the “Hot” one’s like you.

Crap..I’m going to have to buy Eben’s “How to say hi to the ladies” course
      before I do this.

      Oh well..

      Keep doing what you do.

      You Rock

      Dexter Abraham

  14. Bill Davis says:

Very cool! So is this like a Cliff’s Notes for IM products? And I never really have to “read the book” if I’m good enough at reading between the lines?

    Awesome!

  15. Ah, the Nerd. Got a few of his reports myself. ;-) Thing I like is that while it *is* a cliff-notes version of everything, it’s also complete enough that you can still learn a helluva lot and put the principles of the course into practice. Good stuff.

    • Dexter says:

      Hi Matt,

I’m glad you like the reports.

      We try hard.

      And you’re right.

I’ll put our Reports up against anyone notes anytime.

I’m usually circling the Nerd’s desk with whip in hand making
sure they don’t miss anything for you guys.

Every once in awhile I have to bring out Brutus to gently
toss a Nerd from the premise because they are slacking
      in their note taking.

      It’s not a pretty site.

Brutus used to be 107 pounds at 6″1″ in High School.

Then he found some “supplements” and looks like the incredible
      hulk.

But he’s still a nerd at heart and loves me.

      Crap…gotta go…

      Thanks Matt

  16. Lisa says:

That’s a real good idea. As you’ve stated before, sometimes the best content and the most genuine (to find the real core problems of the reader) actually come from what you know or have experienced. It’s a nice way to make an income just sharing the knowledge you have in “cliff notes” kind of reports for IMr’s or any niche (ahhem offline ;) . Thanks for the share Tim.

  17. Eric (Bigguy) Fredinburg says:

This is a great service! I just hate going through all the Videos or PDF’s to get to the real stuff. Besides as you mention the price savings. Thanks for bringing this website to our attention!

PS. Is it me or does the Nerd caricature look like Jason?

    • Dexter says:

      Jason!!

Damn here I thought I kinda had a Brad Pit thing going on.

What can I say…I have high self esteem and see things a bit
      different in the mirror…LOL

Maybe this explains the ladies running from me at the Gym.

Hope you find something useful over at our Blog..

And of course bring a friend or two back over here to Timbo’s House.

      Thanks Big guy

  18. Dexter says:

    Hello,

Just wanted to drop in here real quick and say Hi.

I have a much long THANK YOU type of comment that I believe
    Tim’s holding onto.

Might of put it in here a bit too early last night.

    Anyway…

You guys Rock and I’m glad Tim sent you over to my house for a bit.

Please email me if you’re having any sort of technical difficulties.

We are kind of a secluded little group over here in Nerd Land so when
a bunch of cool guys and girls break down the door every now and then the
    servers like to act up.

    Thank you Timbo…

I’ll be back over here to mingle soon.

  19. Jeff Bode says:

Awesome recommendation Tim …looks like I’m going to be buying a lot from that site

I’ve always loved the short and sweet, best stuff only approach

    • Dexter says:

      “Buying Alot”

      Jeff,

Those might be might two favorite word EVER!!

      I sure hope so.

      But before you do so.

Scour and devour the blog and make sure we walk
      the talk.

I hope you like what you see and I’ll be eagerly
refreshing the paypal button waiting for the Jeff Bode transaction.

      Nah… just kidding bud.

I love sales and love money even more.

But truth is I’m IN Love with sharing with you guys.

I hope you find some value over at my house and
never forget “The Guy” who told you about it
      if you do.

      See ya soon

  20. Roxie Boyd says:

Darn you Tim, everytime I read one of you blog posts, I end up clicking out of your site – don’t you know how to set up your links to open in a new window or tab? I had to go back into my emails and into my trash to pull up your message again to get back to this blog.

    Love ya anyway!

    Roxie

  21. Tim Castleman says:

    Hey guys –

I just got one of the new Kindles and this is really cool. You can email PDF’s to your Kindle! I just tried it and whamo – my some of my Nerd reports are on the Kindle. How cool!

    Back to work.

  22. Ken says:

  23. Philip Camacho says:

Damn Tim, once again I have to tell you…”you ain’t no joke.” This is some bomb-a$$ info. Thanks big guy.
